HTC has added two new smartphones to its Desire range
with the launch of a mid-range Desire 601 and an entry-level smartphone, the
Desire 300.
The HTC Desire 601 features an advanced camera with
photo clustering function that unstills pics for photos that move. Its key
features include a Cat 3 LTE connectivity for effortless music and video
streaming, dual frontal stereo speakers for more immersive volume and richer
audio and an automatically updating home screen that refreshes every time you
turn it on.
Featuring a 4.5-inch qHD display with a 540x960 pixels
resolution, the HTC Desire 601 is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm
Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1GB of RAM.
It also sports a 5 MP camera with auto focus, BSI
sensor, continuous shooting and VideoPic, five levels of flash automatically
set by distance to subject, 1080p video recording, slow motion video recording
with variable speed playback, HTC Zoe™ with Sequence Shot and other standard
HTC features. The phone has an embedded rechargeable Li-polymer battery with
2100 mAh capacity with talktime of up to 12.8 hours for 3G and standby time of
up to 440 hours. It also sports HTC BoomSound™ Dual frontal stereo speakers
with built-in amplifiers for more immersive volume and richer audio.
The HTC Desire 300 offers the latest smartphone
features to keep you up to date 'without going over budget'. It features the
HTC BlinkFeed™ home screen that constantly streams personalized content to your
phone. It comes with a 4.3-inch WVGA displayand is powered by a 1GHz dual-core
Qualcomm Snapdragon S4processor along with 512MB RAM. Sporting a 5-megapixel
rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera, the phone is backed by a 1650mAh
battery that can deliver up to 11 hours of talk-time for 3G and standby time of
up to 625 hours.
